Who We Are

This website is run by Panmure Golf Club, of Barry, Carnoustie, Angus DD7 7RT, Scotland. We are the data controller for the information described here. Questions about it go to the Secretary, by email at secretary@panmuregolfclub.co.uk or by post to the address above.

The Contact Form

If you use the form on the Contact page we receive the name, email address and any other details you type in, together with your message. We use them only to answer your enquiry. The form is delivered to the club office by Web3Forms, a third-party service that passes the message on by email and acts as our processor; it does not use your details for anything else. Enquiries are kept only for as long as is needed to deal with them and any follow-up, then deleted.

Our lawful basis for handling an enquiry is that you have asked us to, and we have a legitimate interest in replying.

Telephone and Email

The telephone and email links on the site open your own phone or email application. Anything you then send goes directly to the club, not through this website.

Server Logs

Like almost every website, the server that hosts this one records each request in a log: the address of the page asked for, the time, your IP address and the type of browser. We use these logs only to keep the site running and secure. They are kept for seven days and then deleted automatically.

Cookies and Tracking

This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics or advertising services. The only thing it stores in your browser is the tee you select on the hole pages, so the choice is remembered while you step through the course. It is held in your browser’s session storage, is never sent to us, and is cleared when you close the tab.

Other Websites

Booking a tee time, the members’ area and the Professional Shop are all separate websites run by other organisations: BRS Golf, ClubV1 and the Professional Shop respectively. When you follow a link to one of them, their privacy notice applies, not this one. The same goes for the social media links in the footer.

Your Rights

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or object to our using it, by contacting the Secretary at secretary@panmuregolfclub.co.uk. If you are not satisfied with our answer you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
