The R&A has confirmed that Panmure will once again host Final Qualifying for the Open Championship when it returns to Carnoustie in 2007. This will maintain the Club's link with Open Qualifying, which stretches back to 1931.
When The Open was last at Carnoustie in 1999, both Paul Lawrie and Jean Van de Velde came through Final Qualifying. At Panmure, the leading qualifier was Luke Donald (then still an amateur).
The Qualifying Competition will take place on Monday 9th and Tuesday 10th July 2007. |
