Panmure Golf Club - 14th Hole

A great par five and worthy stroke two hole. The railway line and two bunkers guard the favoured right hand side where a good drive can gain an extra 20 yards down the slight valley against the more conservative tee shot down the left.

The ultimate risk and reward faces the long drive and often the safe second just past the left hand fairway bunker is the best policy. The green is narrow with a fall-off into the trees on the left and a well-placed hump front right to confront the player who approaches from the right of the fairway. Three good careful shots can more often produce the birdie.
